How to
bring models from Autodesk® Inventor® software to VR

This guide will show you in quick steps how to export your CAD model in Autodesk® Inventor® software correctly and import in into the VR-to-CAD-Software Rivex.

STEP 1

Open your CAD model as usual in Inventor.
With the VR creator Rivex you can create your own virtual world. Use your model from Autodesk® Inventor® in VR and CHOOSE the parts you want to see in virtual reality.
Navigate to FILE, EXPORT and click CAD FORMAT.
You are just four steps away from viewing your Autodesk® Inventor® model in VR.

STEP 2

A new window will pop up.
Click SAVE AS TYPE and select STEP FILES.
The VR CAD software Rivex supports a lot of dataformats and STEP is just one of them. Now choose your target location and click SAVE.

STEP 3

OPEN RIVEX & click NEW FILE.
A new window will pop up.
NAVIGATE TO YOUR STEP file and CLICK IMPORT.
Depending on the the step size, the import may take a little moment until it's completed. Your model from Autodesk® Inventor® software in the VR software Rivex is about to be ready.

STEP 4

Once your model is in the environment of the virtual reality CAD software Rivex, you can optimize your model from Autodesk® Inventor® software in VR.

CLICK PLAY & CONVINCE, CONVEY AND CAPTIVATE
with your model from Sketch Up® software in VR with the virtual reality software Rivex.
