This guide will show you in quick steps how to export your CAD model in SOLIDWORKS® correctly and import it into the CAD-to-VR-Software Rivex.
Open your CAD model as usual in SOLIDWORKS®.
With the VR creator Rivex you can create your own virtual world. Use your model from SOLIDWORKS®
in VR and CHOOSE the parts you want to see in virtual reality.
Navigate to FILE and click SAVE AS.
You are only four steps away from viewing your SOLIDWORKS® in VR.
A new window will pop up.
Click SAVE AS TYPE and select STEP.
The VR CAD software Rivex supports a lot of dataformats and STEP is just one of them.
Now choose your target location and click SAVE.
OPEN RIVEX & click NEW FILE. A new window will pop up. NAVIGATE TO YOUR STEP file and CLICK IMPORT.
Depending on the the step size, the import may take a little moment until it's completed.
